The Minister for Public Service and Minister for Treasury and Finance, Peter O’Neill MP, today released the 2010 Mid Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook (MYEFO) Report. This is in accordance with the requirements of Sections 9 and 15 of the Papua New Guinea Fiscal Responsibility Act 2006.

The FBO sets out the annual fiscal outcome and provides details of revenue and grants, expenditure and net lending and the financing requirement of the Government Budget. The FBO is released in accordance with the PNG Fiscal Responsibility Act 2006 (the Act). The 2009 FBO recorded a deficit of K36.3m or 0.2% of GDP against a revised deficit of K86m or 0.4% of GDP announced in the 2010 Budget.
