ASSISTANT SECRETARY AND SPECIALIST POSITIONS
APPLICATIONS CLOSE AT 4:06PM ON WEDNESDAY 29th APRIL 2015
The Department of Treasury is the key central agency in the PNG Public Service with specific responsibility for the development and implementation of the Government's annual and medium term budget framework and the provision of economic, investment and tax policy advice, together with the management of the Government's Public Debt.
A significant driver in the recent organisational re-structure of Treasury was the recognition of the impact of the changing priorities of Government, and the ever increasing pressure on the central agencies within the bureaucracy to deliver services to Government.
In addition to high level organisational changes intended to re-focus and re-prioritise the core work streams in Treasury, the re-structure also highlighted the need for Treasury to attract and retain high calibre staff in order for the Department to provide the high quality and professional service to achieve the Government’s priorities, now and into the future.
Applications are now invited from suitably qualified and experienced professionals for the opportunities listed below across all Divisions in Treasury.
